Feb 5	Inscribing Gender on the Body	Read Chapter 5	View a print ad that includes images of human bodies. Bring ad. Apply the principles of readings and analyze.

Apr 2	Resisting Violence Against Women; State, Law, and Social Policy	Read chapters 10 and 11	South Carolina has one of the highest rates of women killed by their partners in the country. Use the principles and terms in both readings to analyze why and propose a law and/or social policy solution.
Apr 9	Religion and Spirituality	Read Chapter 12	Pick a religion different from your own. Apply the principles in the readings to analyzing how women and men are treated differently within this religion.
